Bacoor, Cavite — A combined force of policemen from Caibiran Municipal Police Station and the Bacoor Municipal Police Station and operatives of the Provincial Intelligence Team of Biliran Provincial Police Office and the Regional Intelligence Unit of PRO 8 successfully arrested the No. 2 Most Wanted Person in the Province of Biliran during the serving of a Warrant of Arrest about 2: 00 in the afternoon on Sunday (Aug. 08) at NOMO Vista Mall, Molino Boulevard, Bacoor Cavite.
Caibiran Chief of Police Lieutenant Vic Viros identified the accused as Jimmy Gervacio, 39, security guard, a resident of Unit 6, Sto. Niño 2, Brgy. 637, Zone 65, House No. 1783, Aguila St., San Miguel Manila, and a native of Brgy. Maurang, Caibiran, Biliran.
The accused was arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Hon. Plenio Balondo Dela Peña, Executive Judge, RTC, 8th Judicial Region, 3rd MCTC, Caibiran-Culaba, Biliran dated January 7, 2004 for the crime of Murder under Crim. Case No. 996 with no bail recommended for the killing of Junie Feliciano about 9:00 in the evening on Nov. 26, 2003 in Brgy. Maurang.
Caibiran police was informed by relatives of the victim that the accused was working in a mall in Bacoor as a Security Guard. With this information, the Caibiran Police led by Police Lt. Vic Viros, asked permission from the Provincial Police Office to serve an Alias Warrant for the suspect, which was approved and was escorted by Provincial Intelligence Operative from Biliran Provincial Office and assisted by operatives from the Regional Intelligence Unit of the PRO 8.
After the Alias Warrant was served the accused, the team read to him his constitutional rights in a dialect known to him and was brought to Bacoor CPS for documentation and proper disposition prior turn over to the court of origin. – BiliranIsland.com
