The last time i checked Arlan Granali, the son-in-law of Jonie Tiu, was the President of Biliran Gun Club Inc. Anyone knows this fellow? I guess he's the one who can give us the answer if the Gun Club is still alive.

I heard 'chisms' that the BGC has not been very active the past few months due to ineffective leadership, how true?

Please dont get me wrong, i am a proud member of BGC. My purpose of making my comment is for the improvement and development of the BGC. For it cant be denied that the gun club needs a lot of things to do.

As far as i see it, the BGC now is quite in-active, and yes, i attribute it to poor leadership. I hate to compare but BGC was more active during the leadership of Ben Ricafort. More shooting competition were held during that time.

Another thing is, shooting competitions should be made not just to win trophies but most importantly, it should be made to develop and improve the shooters/members.

Does the shooting range of BGC an accreditted shooting range? How many members were truly registered with PPSA (Philippine Practical Shooting Association)? The last time i checked the rooster there's none yet.

P.S.
I heard rumors that members mostly from Naval usually do their "indiscriminate" firing somewhere in the grassy area of San Juan, Arlan, are you aware of this?

Its undeniable that many of the members of BGC joined just to facilitate acquisition and licensing of their FAs, most just lay low from club activities after receiving their FAs and licenses.

The BGC leadership should enforce strict adherence to membership rules and participation to club activities especially on basic safe weapon handling and shooting practices.

Yes, that forested area in the vicinity of San Juan is the illegal venue of indiscriminate firing. The BGC should look into this before any tragic accident could happen.

5. monthly clubshoot, Feb. 17, 2008.
6. construction of concrete kiosks in the range.

Does the core group of BGCI has plans to screen those who tendered their application and wish to be a member of BGCI? As you can see, just like in any organization or club the general membership can bring the organization down or up. Please let us not admit anyone just because the BGCI needs money for the improvement of the range. I urge the core group to be vigilant on these issue. I for one would like to see a well-organized and disciplined gun club where each and every member are disciplined, responsilble and proficient gun holder/owner.

Good work Homer! Thank you for the information. I suggest that the clubshoot should be held in a regular basis, say every 2nd sunday of the month or 3rd or 4th sunday of the month.

I strongly suggest that any member caught doing their indiscriminate firing in that grassy area near San Juan will be automatically expelled without any explanation. This should be firmly implemented to deter these kind of behaviour. As a shooting enthusiast and gun club member, its part of our responsibility to discipline ourselves and our ranks.

Unsa na lang ang ika sulti sa mga tawo if di nato ma-disiplina ang ato selves and our ranks?
