EARLY MAP. Isla de Panamao in the first detailed map of the Philippines drawn up by Jesuit Fr. Pedro Murillo Velarde in 1744. It was published in Manila in 1749 as part of his "Historia de la Provincia de Filipinas de la Compania de Jesus." This map might have been the root of the "Punta de Bulalacao, Isla de Panamao" folklore in Biliran. (Prof. Rolando Borrinaga)
