We, Rhene D. Saul and Rajab D. Saul, 14 year old and 11 year old respectively.
THAT last June 7, 2008 our whole family joined the PNP day held at Talahid, Almeria, Biliran from around 9:00 am sometime past 4:00 pm;
THAT instead of going home directly, we passed by the Naval Mall then to the NIT;
THAT it was already around 6:00pm upon reaching home that we were tasked to clean our multicab while our father SPO2 Renato Saul was cleaning the fish that we bought from Talahid and mother was preparing dinner. Likewise, a little bit later he opened the computer to load our pictures at the beach while attending to some customers in our sari-sari store;
THAT everything seems so normal then, until the patrol car came for the second time and our father went with them and never came home. The next thing we knew was that he is in the police station awaiting for formal investigation regarding an accident that supposedly took place sometime on June 7, 2008 at around 7:30 PM that time when our father was peacefully doing his usual fatherly duties;
THAT we executed this affidavit to attest the fact of our father`s innocence to whatever charges he is facing right now and would like to call upon the people who blemish his name reminding them that they are not only destroying a good policeman and a family man but our whole family as well. Moreover, we would like to ask Mr. Charlie Chong what have we done unto him to warrant such a destruction of our lives.

THAT sometime at around 7:00 PM of June 7, 2008. I went to the house of SPO 2 Renato Saul to buy something when I noticed that they had a computer;
THAT I asked him if I could have my MP3 be charged in his computer for an hour and he readily agreed;
THAT both of us look up at the clock located in the wall almost at the top of the computer and that was June 7:10PM. So, I was told to come back at around 8:10 PM.;
THAT I went to the house of Jay R (almost fronting the house of SPO2 Saul) while waiting for my MP3 to be charged fully;
THAT before I could get my MP3 I noticed the arrival of the patrol car in front of the house of SPO2 Saul where one (1) policeman alighted. After a while, they left hurriedly;
THAT thereafter rumors had it that there was a shooting incident in Naval as I was already going back to get my MP3;
THAT I was surprised the following morning to hear that one of the suspects of that shooting incident is SPO2 Renato Saul when in truth and in fact I was almost with him on that 7:10 to 8:10 PM the time when the supposed incident took place.

THAT sometime on June 14, 2008 at around 10:00 am to 11:00 am while I visited my husband Renato Saul who was implicated with the incident that happened in front of the house of Mr. Charlie Chong. Ret. SPO1 Rodel Bareja came in and in a loud voice said that he wanted to have his sworn statement be taken regarding the same incident which implicated my husband;
THAT everybody got interested specially a friend (Marisal S. Pestolante) who visited my husband and that we were all seated in the reception area in the presence of some policemen to include the chief of Police.
THAT maybe he is not so familiar with Renato Saul so that he bragged how he shot the four assailants and that he must have hit one of them. Further, he said that he could identify them whenever he meets them again. It was at that point that my husband interrupted by urging him to recall their features (hoping that he could be identified to no one) but that was the time when as if he came to his senses and looked at Saul saying, “You just have to read my affidavit” which, when at last we were given a copy it was so much different from how he recounted the incident.
THAT I execute this affidavit to attest that Mr. Bareja`s written allegations is very much different to the stories he used to tell as I heard it while he narrated the incident during informal and formal media interviews and that we are surprised why at last he is saying that Renato Saul is one of them.

You are way out of your league here. Your “tabloid” treatment of this incident is an insult to the victims of this horrendous crime. Further, I don’t think former Cong Gerry Espina Sr and other respondents of this case will thank you for trivializing the issue.
This is now a criminal case in the court of proper jurisdiction, and being issued a sub-poena to appear before the Provincial Prosecutors to answer charges of double murder and frustrated murder is a very serious matter and cannot be taken lightly. The Provincial Prosecutors office will not issue a sub-poena unless there is a probable cause to conduct preliminary investigation.
If you think your attempt to play a “lawyer-investigator-tabloid columnist” wrapped into one is intended to entertain the bloggers and do Gerry Sr a favor, you are wrong.
This is the time to discuss serious matters such as murder and attempted murder, not your political interpretation of events, which obviously is beyond your comprehension.
This is the time for serious talk, utip, and your irresponsible tabloid treatment of this very serious matter is an insult to all Biliranons, a desecration of the memory of those who died and their bereaved families, a slur on the other victims and respondents of this case.
Your time to play clown is up; and if you want to be treated as a responsible and credible blogger on any site on the net, start taking sense and produce facts.

Those aliases you have mentioned belong to people who opted to post under those aliases. Just in case you are not familiar with the ethics on cyberspace, it is unethical to use other people’s aliases. There is such thing as mutual respect among bloggers, and it seems, that your behavior demonstrates the lack of it.
I have been consistently blogging on this site and other sites throughout the net under Aquarius for the past 2 years, and 18 months on this site. Why won’t you check the posts here in the past 18 months in as much as you claim to always back up your statements with facts?
You see, you always exploit any topic under the sun to attack Rep Glenn Chong. This time you are using my post. You are not concerned about Biliran. You have your own agenda to blog on this site, and that is to destroy Rep Glenn Chong. I won’t ask you for your real reason as it may reveal your true position. Ethics, remember?
By the way, in reply to your questions 1 to 3, these matters are best left at the hands of the lawyers who will soon file their motions as prescribed by law. Let us leave it to the experts. Those matters are for the court to ascertain not for you to spin.
Your unqualified comments, unless submitted as an affidavit and included in the court submissions, will unfortunately, be relegated to the GOSSIP COLUMN. In other words, has no bearing on the case whatsoever.

i agree that some portion affidavit from son of saul and other is lopholes. no one member of the family espcialy there father will go to jail. its hard to accept the truht but god knows evrythings happen. guys the son of saul your to young but if the court judgment release soon that ur father is involve in crime and found guilty please accept the real siwastion. guys try to fel t the son and doughter of tony barcelo and inton parella they cant see thr father all the the time. hope you be open your mind that once ur father is found guilty please accept.

Here you go again, where in this blog did you find me making comments about any of the affidavits, and more specifically, about the affidavits on SPo2 Saul?
In your previous posts, you accuse me of using aliases other than mine; and also you accuse others of being me. What is happening Utip, are you being a “clown” again? Or are you just simply thrilled to be called a clown. I am not usually sarcastic towards my fellow bloggers, but you have crossed the line on what is ethical and unethical blogging.
Any way, since you insist on playing the role of a “lawyer-investigator and gossip columnist” rolled into one, allow me to briefly answer your post without quoting contents of affidavits posted on this blog. Let us leave those to the Provincial Prosecutors, Lawyers for the plaintiff and defense and the Judge.
There is no such thing as a fabricated affidavit. An affidavit is a sworn statement of events declared by an individual to the best of his/her knowledge. As such, the contents of the declarations are written to the best of their recollections on a given place and time.
It may not be perfect, its veracity are to be tested in court to ascertain its accuracy and probability. Some affidavits may even be perfected in court as a result of corroborating evidences presented and other witnesses’ accounts. Some maybe even discarded as false declarations for reasons of circumstances which may have influenced the individual into making the declaration. Anyone can challenge the contents of the affidavit, but the declarations made are the responsibility of the individual executing the statement. If there is a malicious intent to make false declarations, then the individual will be subject to penalties as mandated by law. Again, the malice will need to be established in court. The veracity of the declarations made on the affidavit can only be established in court, not on this blog.
What makes you think that any affidavits submitted by one party, that you clearly support, is correct and credible, while the opposing party, that you obviously want to destroy, is fabricated and incorrect. What makes you think that the documents scanned and posted on this blog is absolutely authentic without sighting the original?
Only the court makes that decision, not you Utip nor anyone else on this blog.
