Ika-lima, magpatawag ug meeting ang mga opisyal sa lungsod kauban ang mga tag-iya sa mga establisamento sa negosyo sa lungsod sa Naval aron magplano ug magtambayayong unsaon pagpakgang nga mapugngan ang susamang panghitabo.

ika-unom, mas gikinahanglan usab ang pagpakigtambayayong sa mga molupyo sa lungsod sa Naval sa kapulisan aron nga mapakgang ug mapaugngan ang pagbuhat ug krimen.

several high profile cases in the past has remained unresolved by the pnp to include hold up, robbery and arned attacks against private individuals.

the pnp should do something to resolve the problem. otherwise the people will no longer trust the enitty enthrusted to protect them. if that happens then we will wake up one day wherein everyone in this town has his own firearm. when that time comes naval will surely become a wild wild west.

LBC hold up foiled

Borongan City, Eastern Samar, Sept 7 (PIA) Boronganons thought that the five men who visited this Pacific town were ordinary visitors for the Borongan Fiesta, but it seems they were wrong.

It turned out that the men collared by the Eastern Samar police had only one thing in mind- LBC Borongan.

Police Major Edwin Barbosa in an interview at Radyo ng Bayan DYES said that witnesses have identified the men as suspects in a series of hold-up activities in some LBC branches in the region.

The suspects were on board one safari and a Hyundai starex van when accosted by the PNP in a check point on September 5, 2011.

Also found in the possession of the men were high caliber firearms like taurus caliber .40, .45 rounds of ammunitions, bullet proof vests, cellular phones, cash amounting to more than Php 60 T and a black jacket with POLICE inscription.

Barbosa said that an employee of LBC Tacloban positively identified three of the five suspects as those who held up LBC Tacloban a month ago.

The five men were said to be residents of Laloma, Quezon City and Pasig City in Metro Manila.

As of press time, PNP charged the men with illegal possession of firearms.

“Other charges will also be filed, depending upon the evidence,” said Barbosa.

“But illegal possession of firearms and deadly weapon are the most evident that we can charge them,” the official said.

A DYES reporter who saw the men said “they would pass as police or army officers because of their build and good looks.”

The suspects are now in the custody of the Eastern Samar Police Provincial Office for proper disposition.

Security has been beefed up in Borongan because of the many visitors in town .
