An attempted robbery incident just happened in Naval. One wounded. Another incident happened last week.
Naval, Biliran – A medical secretary and a university student were victims of separate robbery attempts over a period of one week here.
Janewyth Campaner, a 24 year old medical secretary, suffered multiple lacerated wounds suffered during an attempted holdup inside the clinic of Dr. Melisa Villanueva at Caneja corner Castin St. around 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11.
The still unidentified suspect tried to rob the victim inside the Ob-Gyne clinic where she worked. She was about close the clinic when a person approached her and asked her to give him the money earned during the day, but she just kept silent.
The suspect hurt the victim apparently using a batangas folding knife because she did not tell him where the money was.
The suspect escaped after the incident. He was not recognized due to darkness surrounding the area. But he also could not any money or item from the clinic.
The male suspect appeared to be 30 year old or above.
This case is still being followed up by the police the authorities.
Last June 6, Irene Dublin y Casio, 22 year old student of Naval State University, was held up along Abad St. in downtown Naval by two male suspects wearing bull caps, both more or less 30 years of age.
The victim told the police that the suspects suddenly approached her, pulled out a knife, and announced a holdup. They took the amount of P20,000.00 in her possession.
She could not identify the suspects because of her fright and the suddenness of the incident.
