NAVAL, Biliran – The Philippine Health Insurance, Corporation (PhilHealth) thru PhilHealth Biliran Officer-in-Charge Abigail Dy announces the increase of its monthly premium starting January 2013.
Dy said that starting January 2013 voluntary and individually paying members have to pay P450.00 per quarter from P300.00 per quarter.
Employees receiving a monthly basic salary of P5,000 and below, once paid P100.00 per month but this time, it will be P175.00 per month for employees receiving a monthly basic salary of P7.000.00 and below.
Employees receiving a salary of P8,000.00 per month remains paying 2.5% of their monthly basic salary which is shared by the employees and employers.
Dy added that it is more advantageous to pay their premiums in advance so as not to be affected by possible increases in premiums. (PIA8 Biliran)
