Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) based in Region 8 arrested one Jerry Mendoza, a resident of Naval, Biliran for violations of Sec. 5 of RA 9165.
Seized during the search operations conducted in his residence on Vicentillo St. Ext. in Brgy. P.I. Garcia were the following items: a) assorted drug parapernalias; b) 2pcs. crumpled aluminum foil; c) 2 pcs. transparent plastic cellophane containing suspected shabu residue; d) 1 pc. heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; e) 1 pc. surgical scissor; f) 5pcs. heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets; g) 4 pcs. heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; h) aluminum foil strip; i) 5 pcs. heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; j) 1 pc. surgical scissor; k) transparent plastic cellophane containing suspected shabu.
The operation was jointly conducted by elements of the Regional Special Operations Group, Region 8 (RSOG8), Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU), PDEA and PNP- Naval.
The operation was conducted at around 12:30 p.m. today, April 19, 2013.
Mendoza is detained at the Naval Police Station.
