MANILA, Philippines — Civil aviation authorities were working to confirm reports of a plane crash near the town of Naval in Biliran province Tuesday morning.
Naval Mayor Susan Parilla said the incident happened near Barangay Imelda but could give no additional details as resucers were still on their way to the area.
Airport authorities in Biliran said there is no report of any plane missing but confirmed that they are verifying the smoke sighted near Naval.
