NAVAL, Biliran (PIA) – The Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals (BCBP)-NavaLchapter is set to hold a walk for a cause dubbed “Walk for Honesty” on Saturday, March 22.


Noel Pla, chapter head of BCBP-Naval informed that this walk for a cause is in line with the nationwide “Be Honest” campaign of the BCBP which will be simultaneously held in all the BCBP chapters and outreaches nationwide on Saturday, March 22.

“This is one way of expressing our love for God, love for community, love for country and commitment to the Lord’s work” Pla emphasized as the rationale for the activity.

He also said that the walk is an awareness campaign to instill in the minds of the professionals, businessmen and the general public the importance of honesty in their daily activities.

We have to, from time to time, stir and inculcate public consciousness on the value of honesty to attain a peaceful, God-fearing, equitable, just and progressive community, Pla further emphasized.

The BCBP has already initiated the “Be Honest” campaign through posting of Be Honest billboards bearing the saying “be honest, even if others are not, will not, cannot” in conspicuous places as reminders to people, he added.

The assembly area for the activity is at the Naval Central School compound of this town. The walk which starts at 6:00 o’clock in the morning passing through identified streets within poblacion Naval is coupled with the posting of the ‘Be Honest’ stickers in business establishments.

A minimal registration fee of P25 will be charged per participant. Interested participants to the walk who wish to have a souvenir t-shirt printed with the words “Walk for Honesty” can submit their white t-shirt to Know Well Office Systems with the corresponding P30 as payment for printing. # (PIA 8 Biliran)
