NAVAL, Biliran – The picture of what the police forces in the island province of Biliran wanted to achieve and attain in 2030, which is in line with the goal of the Philippine National Police (PNP), is now clear with the crafting of its vision and mission.
The vision and mission of the Biliran Police Provincial Office (BPPO) was finalized and approved by the technical working group and the advisory council of the Biliran Provincial Police Strategy Management Unit (BPPSMU) recently.
The vision speaks of a highly capable, effective and credible police provincial office working in partnership with responsive local government units in Biliran province and its stakeholders with the aid of the Almighty by 2030.
It is also aimed at attaining a safer place to live, work and do business, making Biliran province a haven for tourism and geothermal development.
The BPPO mission enumerates the official duties and functions of the police force which is to enforce the law, prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, ensure public safety and internal security.
It likewise stressed the active support of the community towards “leading Biliran a tourist destination and energy-producing province in the country”.
For his part, PSSupt. Felix A. Diloy, BPPO provincial director, emphasized that the newly approved BPPO vision and mission will serve as guidepost to all the police forces in the province of Biliran in the effective and efficient performance of their respective duties and responsibilities.
PSSupt. Diloy called on the active support of LGU officials provincewide and all the stakeholders in the community for their support in the attainment of the BPPO vision and mission.
