The high tide on Tuesday, July 15, estimated to be approximately two meters in height accompanied by strong winds brought by Habagat (southwest monsoon ) caused several houses along the shoreline in some coastal barangays in Biliran province to collapse.

Some coastal barangays in Biliran province were also inundated by seawaters due to high tide and strong winds .

Power supply in Biliran was cut-off at about 12:30pm on Tuesday, July 15. However, the Biliran Electric Cooperative, Incorporated (BILECO) , the lone electric power utility in the province of Biliran, reported in a text message that it cannot restore power as of July 15 due to reported damages of its line facilities.
