Synopsis: At 4:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon “JOSE” was located based on all available data at 1,020 km east of Casiguran, Aurora (15.7ºn, 132.7ºe) with maximum sustained winds of 195 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 230 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 11 kph. Southwest monsoon affecting Luzon.
Forecast: Ilocos Region and central Luzon will experience monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have occasional rains. Visayas and CARAGA will have cloudy skies light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the south to southwest over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough.

Katamtaman hanggang sa malakas na hangin mula sa timog-kanluran ang iihip sa Luzon at Kabisayaan at mula sa timog hanggang timog-kanluran sa Mindanao. Ang mga baybaying dagat sa buong kapuluan ay magiging katamtaman hanggang sa maalon.
