A suspected dealer of illegal drug locally known as shabu was nabbed in a pension house in Naval on Wednesday, October 1,2014.
Arrested during a buy-bust operation jointly conducted by the personnel of Naval police station and operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Eastern Visayas was one Joel Aceo Gerondio from Barangay Dolores in Ormoc City.
Gerondio, known in the illegal drug trade as Blackjack, was arrested at around 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon with his live-in partner in El Roman Pension House in P.Inocentes St. , Brgy. Smo. Rosario this town.
He is jobless and is included in the police watch list of illegal drug pusher operating in Naval town.
Recovered and seized in the .possession of Blackjack with the presence of the representatives from the media, Department of Justice and a barangay official are the following: one (1) piece rock of crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, three (3) pieces of of small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance or suspected shabu, one (1) piece small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance or suspected shabu (subject of sale), one (1) piece big heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance or suspected shabu, one (1) piece medium heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance or suspected shabu, one (1) piece P500 bill (mark money), cash money amounting to P2,737 in different denominations, three (3) pieces cellular phones, one (1) piece MP3 and assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia.
The Naval police station is now preparing the necessary documents for filing of appropriate charges against Gerondio after the conduct of physical inventory and booking.
