One person died while seven others incurred minor injuries last June 21, 2015, after the engine of a MPV (multi-cab) vehicle malfunctioned. The victims were on their way to relaxation when the accident occurred inside the Bethany compound in the upland of Almeria town.
Alicia Elatico Bornillo reported to the Almeria Police Station that they were on board a Suzuki multi-cab with place No. GTR 658 from Brgy. San Isidro, Biliran when the driver lost control of the vehicle. It was on its way uphill in the Bethany premises when the engine malfunctioned, veered off the road and fell off the cliff.
The fatality, Zita Corpin Elatico, 47 years old, incurred severe injury and was pronounced DOA (dead on arrival) by the attending physician of the Biliran Provincial Hospital.
The road accident is still under police investigation.
