Woman died after jumping in Biliran bridge

BILIRAN, Biliran – A 33 years old woman who was suffering from mental disorder died after jumping off from Biliran Bridge early morning today, Saturday, October 10.

The woman was identified as Analiza Macorol Depaz, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Biliran, Biliran.

According to Biliran police report, prior to the incident Depaz was seen casually walking from poblacion Biliran and upon reaching Biliran Bridge she jumped freely down to the sea.

After a search and rescue operation conducted by Biliran police with the help of some fishermen residing near the place of the incident, the dead body of Depaz was recovered at around 9:25 this morning.

The cause of her death was due to drowning, the police report stated.

Depaz’s dead body was brought by her family to their residence in Barangay San Isidro, Biliran, Biliran.

This is the sixth suicide case reported in Biliran province this year. – BiliranIsland.com
