NAVAL, Biliran – Several pieces of plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu and several drug paraphernalia were confiscated by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Biliran provincial jail.
The abovementioned confiscated items were discovered during the search and seizure operation in jail facility conducted by the operatives of PDEA 8 at around 8:00 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
The abovementioned items were found in male cell 1 and 2, female cell 2 and in the kitchen area of the provincial jail.
This is the second operation conducted in the Biliran provincial jail where several pieces of plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu and some drug paraphernalia were seized by law enforcement agency.
According to Maj. Gideon Batiquin (Res) PA, Prov’l. Warden, 47 percent of cases among inmates of Biliran Provincial Jail are drug-related. Sec. 5 & 11 Art. of R. A. 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In similar development, a certain Reynaldo Dejarlo was apprehended by operatives of Biliran Police Provincial Office (BPPO) Anti-Illegal-Drug Special Operation Task Force led by PCI Chamberline Ludivise at around 5:40 in the afternoon on March 25, 2016 in Barangay Talustusan, Naval, Biliran. – BiliranIsland.com
