A Magnitude 5 earthquake shook Biliran province at 10:05 p.m. Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported.
The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of of focus of 37 kilometers.
Its epicenter was 8 kms southwest of Naval town.
The quake was felt at Intensity V in Naval and Almeria, Biliran; and in Leyte.
It was at Intensity IV in Tolosa, Leyte, and at Intensity III in Mandaue City.
It was at Intensity II in Cebu City and Masbate City.
Though no damage were expected form the quake, aftershocks were expected. — DVM, GMA News
