The beneficiaries of the housing project are at present living in coastal areas of the town, one of the identified disaster prone areas of Culaba.

The beneficiaries will  pay the houses awarded them  after the  fifth year of occupancy in the amount of P200.00 per month for 30 years or they may opt to pay it in cash , Fernandez added.

Another  housing project is set for implementation  in Barangay Binongtoan, Culaba  under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), according to Ray-Jay Emboltorio, information officer-designate of the local government unit of Culaba.

The DSWD-initiated housing project covers 5,000 sq. m. for 35 houses. Each unit is awarded to the beneficiaries for free since LGU-Culaba will shoulder the needed counterpart for the project.

Beneficiaries of said housing project  live  in disaster prone areas of the municipality, said Emboltorio.
