Higatangan hailed as the big winners in the Pasko Fiesta Contest
NAVAL, Biliran – The Local Government Unit of the municipality of Naval has announced the winners of the 2016 Pasko Fiesta Decorating Contest. The inter- Barangay competition under the 1st year of Hon. Mayor Gerard Roger Espina was a chance for the participants to showcase their creativity.
The Pasko fiesta was held in conjunction with the Christmas season. The participants were able to showcase their concept to the public starting December 1, 2016 until the end of the season.
The top three Fiesta sa Pasko in Naval winners were Barangay Libertad then Brgy. Smo. Rosario and lastly Brgy. Mabini.

The judges had a difficult job ahead of them with all of 26 participants in the 2016 contest. Criteria for judging were 20% for Christ- Centered Concept and symbolism 20%, creativity 30%, visual impact 30% and use of indigenous materials for 20%.

1st- P20,000
2nd-P17,000
3rd- P15,000
4th- P 12.000
5th- P 10,000
6th- P 8,000
7th- P 6,000
Honorable mention P5,000 each ( 10 Barangays)
Consolation P3,000 each ( 9 Barangays)
