Talahid captain nabbed in drug buy bust

TALAHID, Almeria – The barangay captain of this village was arrested in a buy bust operation on December 21, 2016 in his domain.

The suspect was arrested by the joint task force operatives under the LOI Kontra Droga Waray Charlie and OPLAN Double Barrell Alpha headed by the Almeria police under the leadership of Police Inspector Julius Dela Pena. The suspect was identified as one Joaquin Docallos Sabitsana, 41 years old.

Kapitan Sabitsana was grabbed shortly after he sold one sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer.

Recovered from his possession, control and custody were one sachet of suspected shabu, two Php 500 peso bills marked money and five pieces Php 100 peso bills.

Kapitan Sabitsana and the confiscated items were brought to the PNP office in Almeria municipality for proper disposition while a case for violation against the Section 5, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 is being prepared against the suspect prior to filing in court.

Barangay Talahid is considered a high target value for drug activities. The suspect is now in the custody of Naval MPS. – BiliranIsland.com
