NAVAL, Biliran – A surrenderer of the PNP ‘Tokhang’ was arrested by police in Naval town on Sunday, January 22.
Arrested in a joint buy-bust operation was identified as Mark Mondala, 32 years old, married, a job order employee of MacArthur, Leyte, and a resident of Barangay Smo. Rosario, Naval, Biliran.
The buy-bust operation was jointly conducted by the operatives of Biliran provincial anti-illegal drug operation task force and members of Naval police station.
Seized from Mondala are the following: One (1) small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu; one (1) pc one thousand peso bill; Four (4) pieces small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu; One (1) pc plastic sachet containing ten (10) pcs small heat sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu; One (1) pc lighter and mobile phone.
According to a police officer, Mondala was a ‘Tokhang’ surrender but based on surveillance conducted he returned to selling illegal drug.
Mondala was a “high value target ” according to a police officer.
However, the parent of Mondala said that the alleged evidence seized during the buy-bust operation conducted in Castin Street in Naval town were “planted.”
