Culaba, Biliran – Two died after an AUV truck hit a traveling motorcycle along the national highway of Culaba municipality on March 4, 2017 at around 6 in the evening.
The fatalities were identified as Niel Aruta, the driver and his passenger Dane Danielle Dela Cruz, a 13 year old student both were residents of Brgy. Pinamihagan, Culaba. Both died on the spot.
Police said that both vehicles were traveling on opposite direction when the the truck accidentally hit the motorcycle which caused the tragic collision.

Joebert Masucol Salodaga, 22, driver of the AUV truck voluntarily surrendered to the authorities.
The vehicles are now in the possession of the police subject to investigation. Both are licensed with the AUV truck bearing the plate no. NR RBW 258 and the motorcycle, a red RUSI with a temporary plate NR EC 99503.
The Culaba Police Station is still investigating the incident.
The Culaba mishap is the first reported vehicular accident with two fatalities for the year 2017. – BiliranIsland.com
