NAVAL, Biliran – Due to limited supply of electrity, The Biliran Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Bileco) implements a rotational brownout schedule around Biliran.

National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has only allocated to Bileco 2.5 to 3 MW.

The implementation of the said power outages will depend on directives from NGCP and power supply availability.

Power Advisory (July 17, 2017, 4PM)

Please be informed that a new schedule of rotational brownout is issued effective today until further notice. It was observed during our power monitoring this morning that we exceeded the allocated supply of 3MW, and we expect the same pattern during weekdays. As a result, we have curtailed the loads in several sections of our distribution line to satisfy with the current supply.

The new schedule shows that all areas will experience two-time interruptions per day – one at daytime and the other at night. Please take note that the schedule will still be dependent on the availability of supply. Further, the duration of interruption may be extended than scheduled due to manual switching of our lateral lines and transformers.
Please be guided accordingly and kindly disseminate. Thank you.
