DPWH Biliran
NAVAL, Biliran (BDEO) – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO) ends the year with 51.74% accomplishment surpassing its planned construction target of only 40.38%.
Based on its physical status report, BDEO has completed 49 out of its 57 FY 2017 projects with a positive slippage of 11.37%.
As of December 31, 2017, there were only eight projects remaining being fast-tracked for completion.
Engr. David P. Adongay, Jr., District Engineer reported that these projects were suspended due to the damage caused by Tropical Depression Urduja on December 15-16, 2017.
One of the on-going projects is the P172.192M Widening of Biliran Circumferential Road on six (6) road sections: Balaquid, Caray-caray, Burabod , Bool, Tucdao and Virginia which is the biggest project of Biliran DEO under FY 2017.
Another big project which is the P125.588M Widening along Biliran Circumferential Road is on-going with road sections at Culaba-Caibiran, Bilwang – Burabod, Sabang, Mapuyo and Kaulanguhan section.
Slope Protection along Biliran Circumferential Road at Sabang section, Tabunan Section and Buyo Section is also on-going along with the Construction of Slope Protection and a Widening Project at Naval-Caibiran Cross Country Road (NCCR).
Access Road Leading to Naval Port, Rehabilitation of Maripipi Circumferential Road and Off-carriageway Improvement along Biliran Circumferential Road is also being fast-tracked.
Adongay said that these remaining projects is target to be completed until March, 2018 if weather permits.
