NAVAL, Biliran – A tricycle driver in Naval, Biliran was arrested for allegedly selling illegal drugs on November 6, 2018 at 3.05 pm.

Anti-narcotics operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Biliran Police Provincial Office (BPPO) and PNP Naval arrested Lloyd O. Verian, a 36-year-old, tricycle driver, resident of Bernardes 1,  Brgy. Atipolo of this town.

According to the police, Verian sold shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover cop, resulting in his immediate arrest.

Police said that Verian had previously surrendered under Oplan Tokhang, but continued to sell illegal drugs afterwards.

Verian is now detained at the PNP Naval lock-up jail pending the filing of charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 Section II of Republic Act 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against him. – BiliranIsland.com
