UPDATE. Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo announces that the suspension of lotto operations have been lifted, effective immediately.
NAVAL, Biliran – President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the immediate stoppage of all gaming activities of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), including lotto because of alleged “massive” corruption in the agency.
Duterte announced this through a video on the Presidential Communications Operations Office Facebook page late Friday night.
In Biliran province, all lotto outlets are now closed.
