Naval, Biliran – The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Naval, Biliran, bagged the Hall of Fame award in the Red Orchid Category for Central and Eastern Visayas, during the awarding ceremonies at Mezzo Hotel, Cebu City on November 28, 2019.
The Biliran Provincial Health Office and the Biliran Provincial Hospital were also awardees of the National Red Orchid.
The Red Orchid Award is an annual search for 100% Tobacco-Free Environment among different administrative levels (national, regional, provincial, city, municipal).
The winners were judged based on the strength of the comprehensive efforts to implement the 100% smoke-free environments using the WHO MPOWER initiative.
