Culaba, Biliran— Two sachets containing white crystalline substance were recovered by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Team of the local police and agents from the PDEA from a drug surrenderee during a buy bust operation about 11:00 in the evening on Tuesday (Nov 10) in Brgy. Virginia here.
Police Lt Ismael Corzon, COP Kawayan Police Station identified the arrested suspect as Rolando Andaya y Gozon 54, married, jobless a resident of of Brgy. Inasuyan, Kawayan, Biliran. The suspect is described by both the police and the PDEA as watch listed drug personality and considered as Priority Target List-High Valued Target (PTL-HVT).
Recovered from his possession was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by a poseur buyer cop in the amount of P1000. During body search in front of barangay official, DOJ Representative and Media the searching cop recovered from his pocket cash in different denominations and two more sachets containing the same white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu estimated to weigh more or less 3 grams with an estimated amount of P24, 000. Among those recovered inside the pocket of the suspect was a 1000 bill bearing serial number EVO63840 a marked money used in the operation.
The suspect denied owning the illegal item recovered by the police from him. He asked the arresting policemen if their conscience won’t bother them when they arrested him for accomplishment. In his anger the suspect blew several times all the evidences in table readying for inventory which the police investigator picked this up from the ground.

Charges of violations of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 is being readied against the arrested suspect who is temporarily detained at the Kawayan Municipal Police Station. – BiliranIsland.com
