Naval, Biliran— An Islander from the Island Municipality of Maripipi of this province who went down to the capital town to enter the illegal drug trade yield suspected shabu after the was arrested in a buy bust operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Biliran Provincial Police Office, the local Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) and PDEA about 3: 50 in the afternoon on Thursday (May 13) at Caneja St., Brgy Santissimo Rosario, Naval, Biliran.
Naval COP Police Major Michael John Astorga, identified the suspect as Jimuel Masdo aka “Min-Min”, 27, single, jobless, a resident of Brgy Ermita, Maripipi, Biliran and temporarily residing at Brgy. P.I. Garcia, Naval, Biliran.
The suspect is tagged by Biliran Province police as Newly Identified Drug personality who is a Street Level individual.
Recovered from his possession was a sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an operative in the amount of P500 pesoss. During body search in front of Barangay Officials, Representative from DOJ and Media and the searching cop recovered at the back of the waist of the suspect a medical face mask that one opened yield two more sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated value of P1000 and 5 pieces P100 bill bearing serial numbers NW874100, NW874099, NW874098, NW874097 and NW874096 which are all court subscribed money intended for the drug operations.
The suspect denied owning the illegal items that were recovered from him. But the police is conclusive that that the suspect is indeed into the illegal drug trade as they conducted surveillance against suspect for about a month after receiving information from reliable informant.
Charges of violations of Sec 5 (Selling illegal drugs) and Sec 11 (Possession of illegal drugs) was already filed at the Provincial Prosecutor here yesterday against te suspect who is temporarily detained at the Naval Municipal Police Station.
