Alleged Top 5 in the region and Top 1 in Biliran apprehended in buy bust

Kawayan, Biliran— An estimated 3 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P20,400 was recovered from an alleged top drug personality not only in the Province of Biliran but in the region during a buy bust operation led by PDEA, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Biliran Provincial Police Office and the Station Drug Enforcement Team about 5:00 in the afternoon on Saturday (Sept. 25) in Brgy. Tucdao, Kawayan, Biliran.

PDEA identified the suspect as Greg Cabintoy, 44, married, vendor, and a resident of Brgy. Tucdao, Kawayan, Biliran.

The PDEA tagged him as the Top 5 drug personality in the Region and the Top 1 drug personality in the Province of Biliran who is also in their Top Priority List.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect is one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an agent in the amount of P500.

During a body search witnessed by Chairwoman Estila P. Solayao of Brgy. Tucdao, Anthony Marlon Mecaral, media representative, and DOJ Representative Reyna G. Colis, the searching agent recovered from his pocket was a folded bond paper that when opened contains five more sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated weight of 3 grams and a street value of P20,400.

The searching agent also recovered one pc. P500 bill bearing serial number FB639427, which is a court subscribed money intended for the buy bust operation.

The suspect denied owning the illegal evidence which the authorities recovered from his possession, saying he is not involved in drugs.

Charges of violations of RA 9165 are being readied by PDEA against the arrested suspect who is temporarily detained at the custodial facility of PDEA in Naval Biliran. -BiliranIsland.com
