Kawayan, Biliran— Joint forces from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Biliran Provincial Police Office and the Station Drug Enforcement Team of the local police apprehended a habal-habal driver during a buy bust operation about 10:05 in the morning on Saturday (May 28) in Brgy. Burabod, Kawayan, Biliran.
Kawayan COP Police Lt. Ismael Corzon identified the arrested suspect as Bobby Calosor, a.k.a. Benny, 45, habal-habal driver and resident of Brgy. Tucdao, Kawayan, Biliran. The suspect is on the drug watch list of the local and the provincial police office.
Recovered from his possession was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an operative in the amount of P500. A body search was conducted to the arrested suspect in front of Hon Nelicita L. Turija, elected public official and Reana G. Coles National Prosecutors Services representative to the suspect resulted in the recovery of one pc P500 bill bearing serial number AK478161 which is a court subscribed money intended for the buy bust operation but no other illegal items was recovered from the suspect. Somehow, cash money P6, 750 suspected to be proceeds from the selling the illegal drugs, coins worth P20 and one Realme cellphone color blue.
Charges of Violations of Sec 5 (Selling illegal drugs), of Art II of R.A. 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 is being readied by the arresting police to the suspect who is temporarily detained at the Kawayan Municipal Police Station.
