NAVAL, Biliran, June 28, (BDEO) –The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Biliran District Engineering Office (BDEO) joins the 124th DPWH founding anniversary nationwide celebration on Thursday, June 23.
This year’s celebration anchors on the theme: “Road from recovery to prosperity” which emphasizes the process of coping up from crisis to success.
To commemorate the said event, Biliran District Engineering Office (BDEO) holds a simple celebration at BDEO compound starting with a holy mass.
As the highlight of the celebration, a Values Formation lecture was conducted for BDEO employees with Atty. Edna Pitao-Honor as the Resource speaker.
Atty. Honor highlighted her talk on the “Values Formation among Government Employees” which she then links to the core values of DPWH; Public Service, Integrity, Professionalism, Excellence and Teamwork.
As she imparted her lecture, Atty. Honor reminded BDEO personnel to stick with these values to successfully deliver quality service to the people.
“As we recover together from the hardship during these trying times, we shall also share the prosperity that comes along with it,” Atty. Pitao said.
After the lecture, a free packed lunch was given to the participants while maintaining basic health protocol.
Created by virtue of then President Emilio Aguinaldo’s Organic Decree in June 23, 1898, DPWH traces its roots to the Department of War and Public Works, one (1) of the first four (4) Departments of the Philippine Revolutionary Government.
