Kawayan, Biliran— A fisherman is temporarily detained at the local police station after he was found in possession of unlicensed firearms during a raid in his house at about 4: 40 in the morning on Wednesday (Jun 29) in Brgy. Buyo, Kawayan, Biliran.
Kawayan COP Police Lt. Ismael Corson identified the suspect as Robert Flores y Roldan, 44, married, fisherman and a resident of Brgy Buyo, Kawayan, Biliran.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of a Search Warrant No. 05-222 for Violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), issued by Hon. Luz P. Navarrete, Presiding Judge, RTC, 8th Judicial Region, Branch 16, Naval, Biliran, ON June 28, 2022.
Recovered from his possession inside his house were One 12 gauge Homemade Shotgun without Serial Number and One Cal. 38 revolver without serial Number. The recovered firearms had no bulletS.
The implementation of the Search Warrant was witnessed by Punong Barangay Paulina A. Sumaya and Brgy. Kagawad Pitchi V. Fuentes all residents of Brgy. Buyo, Kawayan, Biliran.
No statement was issued by the apprehended suspect when asked by media at the Kawayan Municipal Police Station.
The arrested suspect and confiscated firearms were brought to Kawayan MPS for proper disposition.
