Newly identified suspected drug peddler yield suspected shabu during buy bust

Kawayan, Biliran— A newly identified drug peddler was arrested for possession of a sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu during a buy bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) about 3:5in the afternoon on Friday (Jul 29) at Brgy. Tabunan North, of this municipality.

Kawayan COP Police Lt. Ismael Corzon identified the suspect as Noel Caber y Pinto, 49, married, jobless, and a resident of Brgy. San Lorenzo, Kawayan, Biliran.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an operative in the amount of P500. During body search of the suspect in front of barangay officials and media, the searching operative recovered from the suspect P4, 670.00 in different denominations wherein one pc P500 bill bearing serial number DV519277 which is a court subscribed money intended for the operation. Except for the procured suspected shabu, no other illegal items were recovered from the suspect.

As usual the suspect denied owning the illegal drug which was allegedly procured by an operative from him saying he is not into selling the illegal drugs.

Charges of violations of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 are being readied by the arresting officers against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the lock up cell of Kawayan Municipal Police Station. – BiliranIsland.com
