Naval, Biliran— Three sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu were recovered by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Team during a buy bust operation about 1:20 in the morning today Wednesday (Aug 24) at Brgy. PI Garcia of this capital town of Biliran.
Naval COP Police Major Ryan Delima identified the arrested suspect as Brian Bernard Zamora, 39, jobless, a resident of Brgy. PI Garcia, Naval, Biliran.
Recovered from his possession was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an operative in the amount of P1000. During body search conducted in the presence of barangay official and DOJ representative, the searching cop recovered from the pocket of the suspect a folded paper and one candy canister that once opened contained three more sachets containing the same white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu with an estimated amount of P3000 and one pc P1000 bill bearing serial number SA146807 which is a court subscribe money intended for the buy bust operation. Also recovered from the suspect was cash money amounting to P970 in different denominations.
The suspect denied owning the illegal drugs recovered from him but the police insist about his involvement in the illegal drugs trade.
Charges of violations of RA 9165 are being prepared by the arresting cops against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the locked up cell of Naval Police Station.
