Ormoc City— The Philippine Coast Guard in Northern Samar has reported 906 passengers stranded with 237 rolling cargoes and 3 sea vessels took shelter in the province as of 5: 00 in the morning today Friday, 28 October.

Northern Samar Coast Guard Commander Ensign Bryan Michael Tuyay, said that the Port of Santa Clara, located in Brgy. Jubasan, Allen Northern Samar has the most number of stranded passengers and vehicles with 436 passengers stranded and 108 vehicles stuck. This vehicle is composed of 77 trucks, 6 buses and 25 light cars. In the Port of Balwharteco, located in Brgy. Looc, Allen Northern Samar, the number of passengers stranded was recorded at 330 along with 83 vehicles and two sea vessels taking shelter. The rolling cargo is composed of 59 trucks, 20 light cars and 4 buses. At the Port of Dapdap located in Brgy.
Kinabranan II, Allen, Northern Samar, 121 passengers were stranded along with 38 vehicles and one sea vessel took shelter.

The Coast Guard Commander also said that at the Port of San Isidro located in Brgy.Poblacion, San Isidro, Northern Samar, the stranded passengers are 19 with 8 rolling cargoes.

The Coast Guard reported that as of 5: 00 in the morning the weather condition in the area is partly cloudy skies, and the sea condition is moderate to rough seas while the wind condition is light to moderate. – BiliranIsland.com
