NAVAL, Biliran (BDEO) – As part of its periodic inspection, DPWH-Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO) headed by OIC-District Engineer (DE) Alfredo L. Bollido conducted an ocular visit on October 14, 2022 on the ongoing construction of the New Biliran Provincial Hospital (NBPH) and the new 2-storey building of Biliran DEO both located at Brgy. Larrazabal, Naval, Biliran.
OIC-DE Bollido was accompanied by technical personnel from Biliran DEO’s Planning and Design Section, Construction Section, Quality Assurance Section and contractor’s representative. During the inspection, the team checked the ongoing fit-out works on Building A and the foundation works on Building B of the new hospital.
Among the main items inspected on the NBPH were structural, plumbing, and electrical works. Also discussed during the joint inspection were challenges encountered during construction and the future flow of activities of the project. NBPH is currently on 78% physical accomplishment of its Phase II construction.
“We are excited on the completion of the first building of the NBPH. This hospital in general is monumental and relevant to our province with its modern and technological features. It is something that we Biliranons, and our team in Biliran DEO can be really proud of”, OIC-DE Bollido said.
The NBPH is a project of DPWH Regional Office VIII implemented by Biliran DEO.
Meanwhile, Biliran DEO technical team also visited its 2-storey new office building being constructed near NBPH. The team inspected the ongoing structural works of the project. To date, this project is currently 35% accomplished. (pjl/BDEO)
