Caibiran, Biliran — A service truck loaded with copra for delivery to the Capital town of this province turned turtle along the National Road about 5:30 in the morning on Saturday, Oct 29, at Sitio Cansiso, Brgy. Cabibihan, here.

Caibiran COP Police Lt. Vic Viros identified the driver of the vehicle as Jose Hayahay alias “Boboy”, 56, married, businessman, and a resident of Brgy. Palengke, of this municipality.

The police said that the vehicle was a Mitsubishi white truck van, panel type, bearing plate number ZNZ-639 with Joel Hayahay, legal age, married, Helper, a resident of Brgy. Kaulangohan, of this town was on its way to deliver copra to Naval Biliran when the incident happened.

Initial investigation conducted by responding police revealed that the vehicle was travelling from Brgy. Kaulangohan, of this municipality on the way to Naval, Biliran to deliver Copra. However, upon reaching the place of accident the driver lost control of the steering handle, as a result, the vehicle skidded along the wet road and in the process turned upside down. The driver and the helper were so fortunate because they never incurred any injuries.

The turned turtle vehicle was removed in the road several hours later.
