Naval, Biliran— A 12-gauge shotgun together with ammunition were recovered by local police from a laborer during the serving of a Search Warrant about 6:15 in the morning on Thursday, Nov 10, at Brgy PS Eamiguel, of the Capital Town of Biliran.

Naval COP Police Major Chamberline Ludevise identified the suspect as Rhynan Tambis Ecalla, 36 years old, married, laborer, and a resident of said place.

The police said that the arrest of the suspect was by virtue a Search Warrant No. 09-2022 dated November 10, 2022 issued by Hon. LUZ P. NAVARETE, Presiding Judge of Eighth Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 16, Naval, Biliran, for the Violation of Section 28 of R.A. 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammos).

Recovered inside the house of the suspect was one SHOTGUN marked Winchester Model 12-12GA-2 ¾ CHAM CYL, 7 rounds of ammunition for 12-gauge shotgun, 3 pcs. empty Shell of the recovered 12-gauge shotgun.

The police said that the inventory of the seized items from the house of the suspect was witnessed by Hon Cristita G. Burac and Hon Reynaldo R. Jayubo, both Brgy Kagawad of Brgy PS Eamiguel, Naval, Biliran.

The arrested person and the confiscated items were brought to Naval MPS for proper disposition. Further, the operating team used alternative BWC during the operation. –
