Newly identified peddler yields suspected Marijuana leaves during buy-bust

Culaba, Biliran— A newly identified drug peddler yields one sachet of dried leaves suspected to be Marijuana during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the local police together with the Provincial Drug Enforcement Team Unit (PDEU) of Biliran Provincial Police Office about 9: 23 in the evening last Thursday, Nov. 24, in Brgy. Poblacion here.

Culaba COP Police Lt. Edwin Simbajon identified the suspect as Romilo Abanilla, a.k.a. Bokbok Abanilla, 23, single, self-employed, and resident of Brgy. Poblacion, here.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession was one heat-sealed plastic transparent sachet containing dried leaves believed to be Marijuana worth five hundred pesos (₱500.00). During the body search in front of Barangay Officials and Media representative, the searching cop confiscated from the suspect’s control and possession one pc 500.00 bill with serial number S967344 which is a court subscribed money intended for the buy-bust operation and cash money worth ₱200.00.

Charge of violation of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 were filed at the Provincial Prosecutors Office thru inquest proceedings against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the locked-up cell of Culaba MPS
