Naval, Biliran— Operatives of the Station Drugs Enforcement Team of the local police apprehended a drug watch listed personality who yielded suspected shabu during a buy but operation about 11:25 in the morning yesterday Wednesday, Dec 21, in Brgy. Lucsoon, of this capital town of the Province of Biliran.

Naval COP Police Major Chamberline B. Ludevise identified the suspect as Onofre Sañoza Jr y Caliao a.k.a “Junjun”, 31, single, laborer and a resident of Brgy Lucsoon here.

Recovered from his possession was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an operative in the amount of P500. During a body search in front of Barangay Officials and representative from the DOJ the searching cop also recovered two more sachets containing the same white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu with an estimated value of P1000. The searching cop also recovered one pc P500 bill bearing serial number QF84655 which is a court subscribed money intended for the operation.

The suspect denied owning the illegal substance recovered from him but the police said that he was arrested after a series of surveillance and monitoring about his illegal activities that resulted in his arrest.

Charges of violations of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 are being readied by the SDET against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the locked up cell of Naval Police Station
