Farmer yield suspected shabu during buy bust

Naval, Biliran— One sachet of suspected shabu was recovered by operatives of the Station Drugs Enforcement Team of the local police from a farmer during a buy bust operation about 8: 40 in the morning on Monday, Jan 23, in Sitio Lomboy, Brgy Calumpang from this capital town of Biliran.

Naval COP Police Major Chamberline Ludevise, identified the arrested suspect as Julius Jorge, a.k.a. Julius, 45, farmer, with live-in partner and resident of Sitio Lomboy, Brgy Calumpang.

Recovered from the possession of the suspect was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by operative in the amount of P500. During a body search in front of Barangay Officials and a representative from DOJ, the searching cop recovered from the suspect one P50 bill and one P500 bill bearing serial number DS845347 which is a court subscribed money intended for the operation. Also recovered from the possession of the suspect was one unit Yamaha Mio motorcycle color orange and black without plate number.

Charges of violation of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against illegal Drugs if 2002 was filed at the Provincial Prosecutors Office the following day against the suspect who is presently languishing at the locked-up cell of Naval MPS.
