Three newly hired and promoted employees of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)- Biliran District Engineering Office (DEO) take oath on January 23, 2023 held at the Office of the District Engineer.

OIC-District Engineer Alfredo L. Bollido administers the oath-taking ceremony witnessed by Engr. Reynaldo P. Peñaflor, Chief of the Quality Assurance Section (QAS) and Engr. Glenda G. Dagalea, Chief of the Maintenance Section.

Newly hired employees who took their oath are Ms. Chelsea Quijano- Salloman, Administrative Officer II (HRMO I) and Mr. Edito G. Nedruda, II, Accountant II, both former Job Order (JO) employees. They will be assigned under the Supply Office and Finance Section, respectively.

Meanwhile, Engr. Remar S. Zamora took oath as a newly promoted Engineer II (regular) from Engineer I position under the Build, Build, Build (BBB) program.

BBB is a government program under the administration of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte which aims not
only to build roads, bridges, and other public infrastructure for economic development but also to provide employment opportunities to the Filipino people amid the Covid 19 pandemic.

Ms. Lucidita H. Regis, Human Resource Management Officer II (HRMO-II) explained that Engineers hired under the BBB program enjoy the benefits, same of those permanent employees; however, their appointments are under Contract Of Service (COS) which means appointments are renewable every year.

“The promotion of Engr. Zamora will not only give him the benefits enjoyed by permanent employees in the government but will also give him job security,” said Ms. Regis.

The newly promoted Engineer will be assigned under the Construction Section and will be handling various infrastructure projects under his supervision to ensure projects are delivered right on time with the right quality.
