Naval, Biliran— One sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu was recovered by operatives of the Station Drugs Enforcement Unit from a jobless man during a buy-bust operation at about 6:10 in the evening on Friday, March 3, along Sitio Ulingan, in Brgy Talustusan of this municipality.
Naval COP Police Major Chamberline B. Ludevise, identified the suspect as Densio Cahayagan, 43, with a live-in partner, jobless and resident at the aforesaid place.
Recovered from his possession was one sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an operative in the amount of P500. During the conduct of the body search in front of Barangay Officials and a representative from the National Prosecutors Office, the searching cop recovered from the suspect one P500 bill bearing serial number MK994228 which is a court subscribed money intended for the operation. Except for the one sachet and the P500 bill, no other illegal item was recovered from the arrested person during the body search.
Charges of Violation of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 are being readied by the arresting police against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the locked-up cell of Naval MPS.
