Naval, Biliran— Three sachets containing white crystalline substances were recovered by agents of PDEA and Station Drug Enforcement Team of the local police during a buy bust operation about 9:04 in the morning on Monday, March 20, in Brgy Agpangi, of this capital town of Biliran Province.
PDEA Regional Director Atty Gil Pabilona identified the suspect as Bethel Romero Jr., 30, single, jobless and resident of So. Cogon, Brgy. Larrazabal here.
Recovered from the suspect was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an agent in the amount of P500. During the conduct of a body search in front of Barangay Officials and representative from the National Prosecutors Office the searching agent recovered two more sachets containing the same white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu with an estimated value of P1000. Also recovered from the suspect was one pc P500 bill bearing serial number LA212297 which is a court subscribed money intended fot the operation along with three tapped disposable plastic lighter, one folded paper, one) sling bag color black, two smartphones, one Ipod Apple, and one Suzuki Raider 150 single motorcycle.
Charges of violations of Sec. 5 and 11 of Art. II of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 were already filed at the Provincial Prosecutors Office here against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the locked-up cell OF Naval MPS.
