Biliran, Biliran— Two grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P13,600 was recovered by the Station Drugs Enforcement Team and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Biliran Provincial Police Office during a buy-bust operation at about 3:48 in the afternoon on Friday, August 25, in Brgy. San Roque here.
Biliran COP Police Capt. Hilario Rambano III identified the suspect as Christian Corpin, a.k.a. “Patok”, 41, with live-in-partner a resident of Brgy. San Isidro, of this municipality. He is listed as High Value Individual in the drug watch list of PDEA and the PNP.
Recovered from the possession of the suspect was one sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu and procured by an operative in the amount of P1000. During the conduct of a body search in front of an elected Barangay Official and a representative from the National Prosecutors Office, the searching cop recovered one small black wallet, once opened contained one bundle of folded white bond paper along one coin purse that contained nine sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, two lighters, two smartphone black and white, one key with key chain, and one Yamaha MIO 125 color white pink and black without plate number motorcycle. Also recovered from the possession of the suspect was one genuine P1000 bill with serial number KN825409 which is a court-subscribed money intended as buy-bust money for the operation.
Charges of Violations of Secs. 5 (Selling illegal Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Illegal drugs) of Article II of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 was already filed by the arresting unit at the Provincial Prosecutors Office against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the locked-up cell of Biliran MPS.
