Naval, Biliran— One sachet containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu was recovered by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Team from a newly identified drug peddler during a buy bust operation about 11:10 in the morning on Wednesday, September 20, at Sitio Anas, in Brgy. Agpangi, of this capital town of the Province of Biliran.
Police identified the suspect as Orlando Flores, a.k.a. “Orlan”, legal age, married, a resident of Brgy. Agpangi, Naval, Biliran. The suspect is listed as a Street Level Individual in their drug watch list.
Recovered from the possession of the suspect was one sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu procured by an operative in the amount of P1000. During the conduct of body search in the presence of elected Barangay Officials and representatives from the National Prosecutors Office, the searching police recovered one P1000 bill bearing serial number KQ579043 which is a court subscribed money intended as buy bust money in the operation. No other illegal evidence was recovered by the searching police from the suspect.
The suspected shabu was estimated to weigh 0.5 gram with an estimated street value of Shabu P3,400.00.
Charges of violation of Sec 5 (selling illegal drugs) of Art. II of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 was already filed by the arresting police at the Provincial Prosecutors to the suspect who is temporarily detained at the locked-up cell of Naval Police Station.
