Almeria, Biliran — A dead body of one of the residents of this housing project was found by local police in the early state of decomposition about 10: 25 in the morning on Tuesday, of September 26, at Villa El Blanco, Brgy. Jamorawon, here.

Police identified the fatality as Mario Sedaya, 50, married and a resident of Villa El Blanco Lot 6 Blk-L116, Brgy. Jamorawon, Almeria, Biliran.

The local police said that they received information from a cellular phone coming from a concerned citizen informing their office about an alleged bad odor coming from the said house. The local police immediately responded to the area to verify the said report and to conduct an investigation. Upon arrival of the area they responding police smelled the bad odor prompting them to call the local Bureau of Fire Protection unit to process the crime scene.

Initial investigation disclosed that the dead body was found inside the unit house (Lot 6 Blk-L116) which according to neighbors produced a bad odor. The BFP personnel learned that the victim was in a state of decomposition and after processing the crime scene revealed that there was no sign of strangulation or marks indicating foul play. Municipal Health Officer Dr. Christopher Castro declared the victim dead and the possible cause of death was due to Heat Stroke.
