Naval, Biliran – The Naval Central School loses several valuables after an unidentified suspect or suspects robbed the classrooms and the canteen after this was discovered by one of the teachers at about 4:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 26, at the school’s SPED Center at P.I. Garcia in this capital town of Biliran Province.

The police said that at about 6:10 in the evening on Wednesday, September 27, a certain Arvin Garzon, 45, married, teacher and a resident of Sitio Upper Dapdap, Brgy Agpangi here reported to their station about the robbery which they discovered a day before. The police identified the victims as Jocelyn Linao, 57, married, teacher a resident of Vicentillo St., Brgy Smo Rosario, Carol Sangcap, 41, married, teacher a resident of Brgy Agpangi, and Bebe Medalla, legal age, proprietor of the school canteen. The police said that the stolen were a one-unit portable Bluetooth speaker, color black about 2 feet in height from the classroom of Jocelyn Linao, while money coins amounting to an estimated P300 were carted from the classroom of Carol Sangcap.

Investigation conducted by the local police disclosed by that the victims that the room of victim 1 was initially noticed by Maria Corazon Naquila y Paculan, janitress of victim 1, to have been forcibly entered at about 4PM of September 26, 2023 in which the latter reported the incident to victim 1 while the other two (2) adjacent rooms and canteen were discovered to have been forcibly entered in the morning the following day, September 27, 2023. Above-named victims thru the Principal of said school, were advised to come to Naval MPS for further investigation and documentation. Further, the owner of said canteen cannot be contacted and it is still to determine whether there were valuables missing on the said canteen.

Investigation conducted by the local police and as disclosed by Arvin Garzon, that the room of Jocelyn Linao was initially noticed by Maria Corazon Naquila, her janitress that it was forcibly entered at about 4: 00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 26, in which the latter reported the incident to Linao while the other two adjacent rooms and canteen were discovered to have been forcibly entered in the morning the following day, September 27.

The victims thru the Principal of said school were advised to come to Naval MPS for further investigation and documentation while the owner of said canteen cannot be contacted and it was not determined yet whether there were valuables missing on the said canteen.
